ADULT LEARNING CENTRES
Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology is in partnership with six Adult Learning Centres (ALCs). The Institute ensures that the Centres are well administered, accountable, and offer quality programming that leads to a High School Diploma or Mature Student High School Diploma certified by Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology. The diploma may be used to meet job entry requirements or for entrance to college or university.
CrossRoads Learning Centre
CrossRoads primarily serves residents of West Kildonan, Garden City, the Maples, and the North End as well as band-funded First Nations students.
Courses are delivered on a quarterly schedule during the day and on a semestered schedule in the evenings. They offer a full range of credit courses, enabling students to earn their High School Diploma or Mature Student High School Diploma or to take upgrading for post-secondary training.

Horizons Learning Centres
Horizons Learning Centre is designed to assist learners in completing their Mature Student High School Diploma, or upgrading in order to gain admission to post-secondary insititutions. They have three locations:
- Crossways at 222 Furby Street at Broadway (lower level)
- Prairie Theatre Exchange at Portage Place, Mall, 3rd Floor
- Unit G, 431 Thames Avenue just off Watt Street in Elmwood
All daytime courses are delivered on a quarterly system. Optional courses offered are computers, psychology, drama, law, family studies, physics, chemistry, biology, world issues, and art. There are some online courses (WebCT) available. Classes are held weekdays and evenings. Portage Learning and Literacy Centre
Portage la Prairie, Manitoba
The Portage Learning and Literacy Centre (PLLC) provides adult focused programs from basic literacy and numeracy to a range of academic courses for credit towards a Mature Student High School Diploma. The programs offered are: Family Literacy, Adult Literacy, and Mature Student High School Diploma. PLLC is open to clients from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Centre is open till 8:00 p.m. The Family Literacy program is delivered largely off-site. PLLC has a certified day-care available for our learners. In some instances, PLLC is able to assist our learners with transportation. Some other supports are available on a case-by-case basis. Our academic programs follow the Portage School Division calendar.
PLLC also provides an Employment Readiness program, Immigrant Resource Services, and English as an Additional Language. Some of the EAL classes are offered in the communities of Notre Dame, MacGregor, and Gladstone.

St. Norbert Adult Education Centre
Behavioural Health Foundation
St. Norbert Adult Education Centre provides educational services for students from the communities of St. Vital, Fort Garry, and St. Norbert. This adult learning centre is located behind the main building of the Behavioural Health Foundation (BHF) in St. Norbert and operates on a semester system (September/June). Classes are available in 3 hour blocks twice a week (9-12/1-4/6-9) for 16 weeks. The programs offered for adult students include: Mature Student High School Diploma, High School Diploma, Literacy and Academic Upgrading. Some of the option credits may also be used for credit in Winnipeg Technical College programs.

St. Vital Adult Learning Centre
St. Vital Adult Learning Centre provides a program that leads to a High School Diploma or Mature Student High School Diploma. The program operates out of the Teen Stop Centre in South St. Vital and is under the direction of the Board of that Centre. It has a classroom and computer lab space for approximately fifty (50) adult students.

United Food & Commercial Workers
United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW) is located at Portage Avenue and Arlington Street. The Centre operates primarily to serve the needs of the members and their families. UFCW will accept all applicants who meet program requirements for the adult high school program.
The program is offered on a semester system, and all of their classes are offered in the evening. Classes are held in a clean, bright facility and new computer labs. Tutorial support is available. All courses offered can be credited towards a Regular or Mature Student High School Diploma.
