Web Interface Design & Coding
In the Web Design portion of the course students will learn many aspects of interface design, web graphic compression and coding using Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash.
Students learn to code web sites using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Those who choose to specialize in Web Design will have the opportunity to learn Flash animation and advanced site design applications for accessibility.
Students will design, manage and produce a major project using CSS for typography and layout positioning. Emphasis is placed on planning for the site navigation interface, structured file management, high quality graphic elements, search optimization, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
This section includes an overview of employment options, and investigation of employer expectations. At this point, students will identify skill areas related to strengthening employment goals.
