The Web Design Certificate Program is a 9 month course of practical instruction offered at Winnipeg Technical College. Students are assigned real-world projects while learning the essential creative and technical skills needed for PDF layouts, digital graphics, and web site design & coding with XHTML / CSS.
The purpose of this web site is to provide information and to showcase examples of student work, past and present, for anyone interested in enrolling in the Program.
This web site was designed as an in-class group project by Donovan Moreton and Jeff Comstock in 2005. The layout is a fixed width for 800 x 600, using background images and centered on-screen for higher resolution monitors.
XHTML and CSS coding was updated in 2007 to improve the flow into small-screen mobile devices, and to ensure reliable printing from desktop browsers.
Content and samples are updated once a year.
