Images are an important part of all publishing projects. The preparation of digital images for either web or print is a key skill that requires knowledge of sophisticated editing techniques, and an understanding of technical output requirements and file formats.
Composing custom images from a variety of source material, creating dramatic visual effects using layers, masking techniques, image manipulation filters, and vector animation skills is also required.
Students of the Web Design Certificate Program learn these techniques while using industry standard software applications: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Flash.
