Program Description
The Web Design Certificate Program provides students with technical skills in graphic layout for print and web publishing. Emphasis is placed on planning, organization and teamwork. Students learn to create multi-level websites and PDF layouts for corporate and business communication.
Professional instruction in visual decision-making, technical theory, and creative software will enable students to prepare graphic layouts for brochures, newsletters, magazines, advertising, online catalogues and creative information websites.
Students can choose from a menu of advanced training options during the last two months of the program, depending on their individual aptitude and employment goals. Creative and technical skills are developed using real-world projects. Custom options include: advanced CSS scripting, animation and audio for web media; or extended training in PDF production using high-end software techniques. Graduates leave with an online digital portfolio to help them in their search for employment.
