It is recommended that all post-secondary student applicants attend a College Information Session/Tour. To schedule a College Information Session/Tour, please call 989-6500. During this session, information will be provided regarding College programs, application processes and tuition fees.

| STEP 1: |

The College receives applications for Post Secondary Enrolment from various sources. Please review the three categories below to identify the one that fits your special circumstances, then proceed as directed, finishing with Step 2.

Category 1: If applicants can provide a transcript from a Canadian high school meeting the program entrance requirements, proceed to Step 2.
Applicants will be contacted when a seat becomes available and will be required to complete the applicable Fee Commitment Form. Applications will remain on file for one year. If you wish to remian on a waitlist beyond one year, please contact the College at 989-6555.
Individuals that are applying for Student Loans must possess a complete Grade 12 from a Canadian high school or be eligible under the College's Mature Student Entrance Option. Refer to page 7 of the College calendar for eligibility requirements.

Category 2: If applicants provide a transcript from a Canadian high school but do not meet the program entrance requirements, the following process will apply for the mature student option:

1) Write the Skills Assessment: The Skills Assessment measures the skill level of applications in the areas of math and English. This testing is not a measure of English Language Proficiency. Appointments to write the Skills Assessment can be made after attending a College Information session (TecQuest) or by calling 989-6500. You will receive a letter regarding your eligibility for admission to a College program within 2 weeks of writing the Skills Assessment. 2) Proceed to Step 2.

Category 3: If applicants are educated outside of Canada, applicants must meet 1) English Language Proficiency as well as 2) Program Entrance Requirements and the following process will apply:
1) English Language Proficiency: All instruction within the College is in English; therefore, in order to be successful in a program, it is important for all students to have a level of English proficiency that will allow them to participate in all aspects of the program. For those students whose first language is not English or education is from out of country where English is not the primary language used in the home, school and business, you will need to provide evidence ofhaving sufficient English language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. The application process will not start until evidence of English Language Proficiency has been provided.

| Students that have met the required score for English Language Proficiency, as demonstrated through one of the following test options, will also have met the program entrance requirements for English. |

2) Program Entrance Requirements: Program specific English, math and/or science entrance requirements may be met by submitting evidence (i.e., official transcripts) of having successfully completed post-high school courses in the country of origin. The official transcripts and other supporting documentation must be in English or have certified English translation attached. Students that have met the English Language Proficiency test score will have met the program entrance requirements for English.
The following process will apply: 1) Provide evidence of meeting English Language Proficiency. 2) Proceed to Step 2. 3) If program entrance requirements have not been met, write the Skills Assessment, see Category 2, #1.

STEP 2: 1) Complete a WTC Application (Post Secondary or International Application). 2) Submit an original transcript of marks summarizing the educational credits earned. 3) Submit a $55.00 (Canadian) non-refundable administration fee per program (non-tax deductible). 4) Deliver all items listed above to: Admissions Office, Winnipeg Technical College, 130 Henlow Bay, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3Y 1G4

| Secondary School Applicant |
Secondary students wishing to attend Winnipeg Technical College should contact a Guidance Counsellor at their home high school for information regarding sponsorship, the application process and program entrance requirements.

Selection of secondary students to attend Winnipeg Technical College is at the discretion of the sending high school. |
Secondary students typically spend one half of each day at the College and the other half at their home high school. |
| Shareholding Division Applicants are defined as students from Pembina Trails School Division and Louis Riel School Division. |
